I came across this a little while ago and thought it was worth reposting now that I’m geek enough to have my own blog. It is a piece of code that takes an MP3 file and for each beat it stretches the duration of the first half while shrinking the duration of the second half giving an awesome “swing” like effect. The genius is in it’s simplicity.
For more “swingified” mixes, the source code and instructions for how to do it yourself check out this post at musicmachinery.comFollow Simon on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, RSS, or join the mailing list.
